Privacy policy

Tandem is a Shopify app that keeps inventory quantities in sync between a merchant's Shopify store and Etsy shop. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what happens to it.
What we collect from merchants
- Shopify store details: your store's domain and the access tokens Shopify issues when you install Tandem.
- Etsy shop details: your Etsy shop ID and name, and the access tokens Etsy issues when you connect your shop.
- Product and inventory data: product and variant titles, SKUs, Etsy listing IDs and stock quantities for the products you link.
- Sync records: a log of every stock change Tandem made, and any sync problems, so you can review and undo them.
- Settings: your chosen location, hold-back amount and alert email address.
Tandem does not store your customers' personal information — no names, addresses, emails or payment details. When an Etsy order comes in, we fetch it from Etsy only to see which listings sold; we use nothing else from it and keep none of it.
How we use it
Only to provide the service: matching products, keeping stock in sync, showing you what changed, and emailing you about sync problems. We don't sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.
How we protect it
Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Etsy data is refreshed regularly in line with Etsy's API terms. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate Tandem.
Who processes it
- Railway — hosting and database.
- Mailgun — sending alert emails.
- Shopify and Etsy — the platforms Tandem connects, under their own privacy policies.
Deletion
Disconnecting Etsy removes your Etsy tokens immediately. When you uninstall Tandem, sync stops right away, and Shopify sends us a deletion request 48 hours later; we then delete everything we hold about your store.
Waitlist
If you join our waitlist we store your email address and the answers you gave, only to contact you about Tandem. Ask us to remove it at any time.
